Disaster Recovery Plan.

Pursuant to NAPBS Clause 1.4 regarding Stored Data Security Documentation and Disaster Recovery plan, Employers Choice Screening policy is to ensure backup data is encrypted and stored in a locked location. Our procedure is to entrust all backups to our software platform vendor. We do not locally backup information. Our software platform vendor has certified that all of our backup data is encrypted and stored in a secure facility.

Employers Choice has real-time database mirroring in multiple data centers across the country as well as nightly snapshots that are kept for 3 days. In the event of a catastrophic primary database failure, the system can promote a reader instance to primary in a matter of minutes. Data is replicated to multiple geographically separated data centers.

Recovery Point Objective

The Database is replicated in real time (approximately 20ms) across three separate data centers that are geographically separate. We expect virtually no data loss in the event of a catastrophic primary database failure.

Recovery Time Objective

Our recovery time objective is 24 hours. In practice, in the event of a catastrophic primary database failure, we expect failover to happen within two minutes.
