The Better Business Bureau (BBB) is a non-profit, non-governmental, member-funded organization of thousands of U.S. businesses dedicated to building fair and honest relationships between businesses and consumers. The BBB uses news alerts, databases, and various other methods to maintain an ethical business environment. The BBB obtains and reports information on businesses reliability, ethical practices, alerts the public about fraud against consumers and businesses as well as acts as a mediator between businesses and consumers in order to resolve disputes. The goal of the BBB is to promote a fair and effective forum of trust between buyers and sellers.
