The Case Against Social Media Searches in a Socially Distanced World
Universities and colleges are now jumping on the social media bandwagon in hopes of using sites such as Facebook and Twitter to screen their prospective students. According to a recent Kaplan survey, 41% of law school admissions employees have searched social media sites to learn more about the applicants.
The survey covered 128 of 200 American Bar Association-accredited law schools. The survey goes on to say that 12% of college admissions officers and 14% of business school admissions officers found something online that negatively impacted an applicant’s admission to that college. Read More
