The National Insurance Producer Registry (NIPR) serves as a central repository of producer licensing information. Participating state insurance departments update this information on a timely basis. Currently, the PDB includes information from all 50 states. It also covers the District of Columbia, Guam, Puerto Rico and Virgin Islands. The PDB report contains demographic, licensing, appointment and regulatory actions. Insurance departments supply this information.
