Commercial Driver’s License Information System (CDLIS) Report

The Commercial Driver’s License Information System (CDLIS) is a database administered by the American Association of Motor Vehicle Administrators (AAMVA). A federal mandate requires all states to store information in CDLIS about the commercial driver’s licenses they have administered.

FMCSA National Clearinghouse Program

Leverage Commercial Driver’s License Information Systems (CDLIS), obtain five-year crash and inspection data through Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) Pre-employment Screening Program, and help maintain compliance with DOT Rule 49 CFR Part 40, while monitoring key MVR changes and fulfilling DQF requirements.

Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) Crash and Inspection

The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) program provides electronic access to a commercial driver’s crash and inspection history from the FMCSA Motor Carrier Management Information System (MCMIS). Employers Choice Screening searches the database for a driver’s most recent five years of crash data and the most recent three years of roadside inspection data.

Credit Report

A Credit Report offers insight into an applicant’s fiscal responsibility and financial history. Review notifications of bankruptcies, unpaid bills from collection agencies, credit and payment history records, and other credit inquiries made on the candidate.

Military Service Verification

There are two ways of verifying active or inactive military records. The first is by contacting the ranking officer’s directly to verify all previous military experience, the branch of service, status, and dates of service. The other process is by submitting an inquiry to the National Personnel Records Center via form SF-180 / DD-214, which is a request pertaining to military records and/or identifying the veteran’s condition of discharge – honorable, general, other than honorable, dishonorable, or bad conduct.

Selective Service Verification

Online verification provides a quick way to access your Selective Service registration number and date of registration if it is required to be verified for specific employment positions. Online verification of Selective Service registration requires a social security number and is only available for men born on or after January 1, 1960.

Fraud & Abuse Control Information System (FACIS) Search

The FACIS Check searches databases for records of adverse actions against individuals and entities in the healthcare field. These records may include information on disciplinary actions ranging from exclusions and debarments to letters of reprimand and probation.

If you’re hiring in the financial, government, healthcare, or technology industries, the FACIS check is recommended to manage risk and compliance.

Healthcare Sanctions (OIG/SAM) Search

A search of the Office of Inspector General’s (OIG) of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Resources’ list of Excluded Individuals/Entities that are barred from participating in any federally-funded healthcare programs.

Ongoing monthly motor vehicle monitoring provides timely alerts on recent Motor Vehicle activity, new violations, DUI/DWI convictions, and invalid or expired licenses. Obtaining this updated information for driving positions allows your team to take proactive corrective action to address any potential problems.

Continuous Monitoring – Criminal History

Ongoing monthly criminal monitoring includes the monthly review of nationwide criminal records, sex offender registry, sanctions, and exclusion hits. In the event new criminal activity is identified, additional research at the source is required and is subject to additional fees for verification.

Fingerprinting / Livescan

Employers Choice Screening has a direct partnership with a third-party fingerprinting provider who can schedule and administer this service as part of your Background Check. We require your agency’s ORI number to schedule an applicant for Fingerprinting. Once scheduled, results will be provided directly to your agency by the third-party vendor and not through our online dashboard.
